MAPUTO, July 30 (IPS) - Over 1,000 Mozambicans, including children, are trafficked to South Africa every year where they are forced into prostitution or to provide free or cheap labour. In response, Mozambique's government last week approved a new law which will make human trafficking a crime punishable with long prison sentences.

Un rapporto diffuso oggi da un gruppo di Organizzazioni non governative (Ong) europee e internazionali, tra cui Rete Disarmo, Saferworld e Amnesty International, cita fonti credibili secondo le quali il governo indiano sta per trasferire a Myanmar l'Advanced Light Helicopter (Alh), un elicottero d'attacco prodotto in India ma che non potrebbe funzionare senza componenti essenziali di provenienza europea tra cui quelle di Belgio, Francia, Germania, Italia, Regno Unito e Svezia.
